Born in 1948 in northeastern Italy, resident in Milano, married, one son.
Degree in business administration at the Milan Catholic University, class 1972, with full marks. Dottore Commercialista (Chartered Accountant) since 1974; Revisore Legale (Registered Auditor) since 1995.
After a significant experience with an auditing company, started his professional activity as sole practitioner in 1974.
Founding partner of Studio De Giorgi e Associati in Milan, member of the British, French and Japanese Chambers of Commerce in Milano, supplying professional assistance to the international clientele of the firm in Italian, English, French, Spanish and Portuguese.
Deals with international issues of Italian outbound clients for their investments abroad, escorting clients to their destination countries, providing assistance with legal, contractual, personnel-related, and fiscal problems; organises, coordinates, fosters and manages inbound investments of foreign clients originating from over 30 countries.
Provides support to many entities listed on the US markets of which several Fortune 500 companies and to many companies listed on the Japanese markets.
Founder, member of the board of directors, fiscal and administrative advisor for over 30 years of the Italian subsidiary of a privately-held US headquartered multinational manufacturing company with a worldwide turnover in excess of 3 billion US$, producing famous waterproof – breathable fabrics, dealing with all the administrative aspects of its diversified divisions.
Statutory auditor of several companies, including listed pharmaceutical multinational corporations.
Active participant in the Expo 2015 project of Milan’s Chapter of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, founder and Chairman of the Internationalisation Committee of the Milan Chapter of the Institute of Chartered Accountants.
Member of the Internationalisation Committee of the National Institute of Chartered Accountants and Chairman of the Institutional Affairs sub-committee thereof, has participated in the 2015 CAPA (Confederation of Asian and Pacific Accountants) annual conference representing the Italian National Institute.
Represents the Italian National Institute of Chartered Accountants at UNCTAD (United Nations Conference on Trade and Development) in Geneva acting as an expert for ISAR, the intergovernmental working group of Experts on International Standards of Accounting and Reporting.
Appointed by the Italian National Institute at FCM (Fédération des Experts Comptables Mediterranéens) – the Federation of Mediterranean Certified Accountants that represents the accountancy profession in the Mediterranean area. Its membership consists of 21 professional institutes of accountants from 16 Mediterranean countries and includes 320.000 professionals.
Member of the EMEA Board and Management Committee and member of the World Board of PrimeGlobal, one of the five largest associations of independent accounting firms in the world, with 300 member firms over the globe, present in about 90 countries with more than 800 offices and 2,300 partners, actively participating in the activities of the association.
Member of the tax faculty of PrimeGlobal, lectures at courses and conferences on internationalisation of companies and businesses and on international taxation, both in Italy and abroad.
